Pam Dobie Key joined Monchamp Meldrum LLP as Counsel in 2025, bringing decades of in-house experience at global companies and a deep, practical understanding of commercial real estate. She advises clients on a broad range of real estate transactions, with a focus on commercial leasing and the acquisition and sale of office, retail, and industrial properties.

Pam represents landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers, guiding clients through every stage of a deal—from initial strategy and negotiation to due diligence, closing, and post-closing matters. She is known for helping clients navigate complex transactions with clarity and efficiency, always balancing business objectives with legal precision. In addition to transactional work, she assists clients in resolving disputes with a steady, strategic hand.

Throughout her career, Pam has represented a diverse range of clients, including national retailers, technology companies, restaurants, manufacturers, small businesses, nonprofits, and individual property owners. Her experience spans all aspects of real estate documentation, including leases, subleases, assignments, purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, letters of intent, and ancillary documents such as signage and license agreements, estoppels, and storage leases.

Pam has 15 years of in-house experience—at companies including P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, The Gap, Amazon, and T-Mobile—which has given her a business-first perspective that informs her legal strategy and adds value for her clients. She has resolved a wide range of real estate-related disputes, including operating covenant violations, construction delays, co-tenancy issues, and payment conflicts.

Pam began her legal career at Latham & Watkins LLP, where she practiced litigation in the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices. There, she focused on securities and D&O defense, but also handled a high-stakes landlord-tenant dispute that sparked her shift toward real estate law. She later joined the real estate practice at Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco, where she advised clients on development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing before transition to in-house counsel roles.

Blending the insight of a seasoned negotiator with the practical mindset of a business partner, Pam helps clients move transactions forward smoothly, protecting their interests while keeping their goals firmly in sight.
